The Blood of Dawnwalker Guides for Vale Sangora
The hourglass, the two kits, and the first week before Brencis crowns himself.
The Blood of Dawnwalker is a single-player Unreal Engine 5 action RPG from Rebel Wolves in Warsaw, published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. You play Coen, a silver-dust miner whose failed vampire turn leaves him a Dawnwalker: human under sunlight, vampire after dusk. Brencis holds Coen’s family for a coronation sacrifice in thirty days. This hub is the map of the systems that decide whether that calendar is a story or a panic.
Read Getting Started before preload day if you still need platforms, editions, and the Laslea prologue. Once the Blood Mass is over, How to Play is the sandbox rulebook that replaces a glowing main-quest arrow.
Time, hunger, and two kits
The clock is the real tutorial. Time does not tick while you walk, loot, or stare at the map. Completing quests, story beats, and skill unlocks spend segments. Each day and each night splits into eight. You cannot 100 percent the valley in one calendar, and the game does not necessarily hard-end when the hourglass empties. Full rules live in the time system guide; the time planner is the sheet you fill before you accept a job.
Night is not a lighting filter. Hex scars heal after dusk, so witchcraft goes inert, while claws, feeding, Shadowstep, and wall-walking come online. Starvation can make Coen kill the nearest person, including a quest giver. Pair that page with day and night so you stop treating dusk as a cosmetic swap.
Combat and the three trees
Daytime fights are four-direction swordplay in the Kingdom Come / For Honor family, with optional omni-attack and omni-block assists. Perfect parries and connecting swings fill activation charges — red for hexes, gold for physicals such as Acrid Dust and Artery Attack. Vampire powers skip that meter. Read the combat guide first, then controls so you are not guessing which face button is Shadowstep.
Skill nodes are not free XP. Witchcraft is a day tree, Swordmastery is always on, Vampirism is night. Manuals unlock nodes; spending them still costs experience and a time segment at a wayside shrine. Rank openers on the ability tier list, then lock a Witchcraft hex, a Swordmastery staple, and a Vampirism traversal node in the build planner.
Places and people
Vale Sangora is a dense 1347 Carpathian pocket: farm village Laslea, silver capital Svartrau, Greifberg Castle, Maragir monastery. There are no horses. Wayside shrines handle fast travel, stash, and leveling. Scout towers exist so you can mark a route without walking every ridge. The Vale Sangora map is the geography page; Coen, the vampire court, and allies — Anca, Lacra, and Marat — are the people who change how you spend a week.
Launch desk
The game comes out 3 September 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC (Steam, Xbox on PC, GOG), with Xbox Play Anywhere and GeForce NOW at launch. Steam storefronts in some regions show 2 September because of time zones. PC unlocks at midnight CEST on the 3rd; consoles unlock at midnight local. Confirm your box on the release schedule and editions pages, then system requirements if you are on PC. Critic write-ups sit on the review page. Storefronts and socials are on official links.
If you only open four pages besides this hub, make them Getting Started, the time system, combat, and feeding. The rest of the wiki is how those four systems collide.
Frequently Asked Questions
