Editions and Preorder

Every paid copy of The Blood of Dawnwalker contains the same single-player campaign. The differences are cosmetics, paper, music, and a statue. There is no gameplay-gated deluxe tree, no extra dungeon, and no early access. If you preorder any participating edition you get the Sangoran Wayfarer’s Armor as an early unlock; Rebel Wolves have said you can also find that set later in the valley, so the armour is not a permanent exclusive. Prices below are the US list figures Bandai Namco has used: Standard $69.99 (often rounded to $70), Eclipse $79.99 (often $80), Collector about $200 / $199.99. Regional storefronts convert. For when those copies actually unlock, use the release date page. For the rest of the launch briefing, use the release hub.

Standard Edition — $69.99

The Standard Edition is the game. Digital on Steam, GOG, PlayStation Store, and Xbox. Physical as a Day One SKU in many retailers (see below). Preorder bonus: Sangoran Wayfarer’s Armor. That is the whole pitch. If you want Coen’s thirty days and nothing on the shelf, this is the SKU. PC digital is the cleanest install. Console digital is the same campaign as the disc.

Eclipse Edition — $79.99, digital extras

Eclipse is the lore bundle. It is digital. On top of the base game it adds:

  • Digital soundtrack (Nikola Kołodziejczyk, Piotr Musiał, Mikolai Stroinski)
  • Digital world compendium
  • Digital comic (a prequel, not a substitute for the campaign)

There is no extra quest, no extra weapon rank, and no extra difficulty. Buy Eclipse if you want the music and the book on the same receipt. Skip it if you were hoping $10 would change combat or the hourglass. Collector copies include these digital extras as well, so do not double-buy Eclipse on top of Collector unless you enjoy redundant keys.

Day One physical

Day One is the retail physical edition of the $69.99 game. On PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series it is a complete disc: you can play without a mandatory extra download. Apply the day-one patch anyway — that is how PS5 and Series X pick up the 60 FPS mode, and Series S still wants whatever gold did not catch. Retail listings often pair Day One with a steelbook and a cloth-style world map; check the SKU on your storefront rather than assuming every cardboard box includes both. PC physical is a Steam key in a box, not a Windows disc of the .exe. If you wanted DRM-free bits on a platter, that is GOG digital, not a PC collector carton.

Collector’s Edition — about $200

The limited Collector’s Edition is the shelf version. List price sits at $199.99 / around $200. It includes:

  • The base game (platform-specific; PC still means a Steam key)
  • Eclipse digital extras: soundtrack, world compendium, comic
  • Steelbook
  • World map at 33×40 cm
  • PureArts Coen figurine, 23 cm, in a collector box
  • Physical world compendium: 60-page hardcover

That is a generous pile for the price if you actually want a statue and a map on the wall. It is a poor buy if you thought $200 bought a stronger Coen. The figurine does not change system requirements, the coronation, or the 46 achievements. Stock is limited. If the statue is the point, reserve it; if the game is the point, Standard is the same thirty days.

What a complete disc means

Rebel Wolves and Bandai Namco have stressed that console discs are playable without an extra mandatory download. That matters in 2026. It does not mean you should skip the patch. Gold landed in mid-July; the day-one patch is still the 60 FPS ticket on PS5 and Series X and the place where last-minute fixes live. Two PC builds exist for regional age ratings — that is a ratings split, not an edition split. There is no Denuvo on PC. GOG is DRM-free. Xbox Play Anywhere covers console plus Xbox on PC from one purchase.

Preload is 48 hours before unlock on the release schedule. Editions do not change that window. Critic scores on the review page also do not change what is in the box; they only tell you whether the campaign inside is the one you still want to pay $70, $80, or $200 for.

Quick chooser

  • Play the campaign, digital — Standard, $69.99. Steam, GOG, PS Store, or Xbox.
  • Play the campaign, disc — Day One physical on PS5 or Xbox. Confirm steelbook/map on the listing. PC ‘physical’ is still a Steam key.
  • Want soundtrack, comic, and a digital book — Eclipse, $79.99, or Collector which already includes those files.
  • Want the 23 cm Coen and the hardcover — Collector, about $200, while stock lasts.

Then go back to getting started so the armour set is the least interesting thing you unlock in Laslea.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Do any editions include early access?

No. Standard, Eclipse, Day One, and Collector all unlock on 3 September 2026. Extras are cosmetics, audio, paper, and a figurine.

Is the Sangoran Wayfarer's Armor exclusive forever?

No. Preorder unlocks it early. Rebel Wolves have said you can also obtain the set later in the game, so missing a preorder does not lock a build behind a storefront clock.

Is the PC Collector's Edition a playable disc?

No. PC physical copies are a Steam key in a box. Console Day One and Collector discs on PS5 and Xbox are complete and playable; a day-one patch is still recommended.

Does Eclipse change gameplay?

No. Eclipse adds a digital soundtrack, world compendium, and comic. The campaign, skill trees, and hourglass are identical to Standard.

What is in the Collector's Edition?

Base game, Eclipse digital extras, steelbook, 33×40 cm map, PureArts 23 cm Coen figurine, and a 60-page hardcover world compendium. List price is about $200.
