The Blood of Dawnwalker PC and console spec sheet
August 2026 numbers with upscalers on Balanced — not the April native 4K 5090 row.
Use this page as a can-I-run-this sheet, not as a rumour mill. Rebel Wolves published a final August 2026 PC list for The Blood of Dawnwalker that assumes DLSS, FSR, or XeSS at Balanced. That is the current sheet. An older April 2026 list measured native framing with no upscaler and put an RTX 5090 on 4K60 Ultra. Do not treat the April row as current. It was revised.
The game is a single-player Unreal Engine 5 RPG, scheduled for 3 September 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Steam app ID 3751260. Install size 60 GB SSD. No Denuvo. 16 GB of system RAM on every PC row.
If you are here to plan days rather than GPUs, leave: the time planner and build planner are the other tools. This page will not rank Witchcraft.
Final August 2026 PC sheet (upscalers on Balanced)
Every row below includes 16 GB RAM, 60 GB SSD, Windows 10 or later, and DirectX 12. VRAM is a floor, not a flex.
| Target | Preset | CPU | GPU | VRAM |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1080p30 | Low (minimum) | Core i5-11400F / Ryzen 7 2700X | GTX 1060 / RX 580 | 6 GB |
| 1080p60 | Medium | Core i7-11700K / Ryzen 7 5700X | RTX 2060 Super or GTX 1070 Ti / RX 5700 / Arc A750 | 8 GB |
| 1440p60 | High (recommended) | Core i7-11700K / Ryzen 7 5700X | RTX 4060 / RX 7600 XT / Arc B580 | 8 GB |
| 4K60 | Ultra | Core i7-12700K / Ryzen 7 7800X3D | RTX 4070 Ti / RX 9070 | 12 GB |
Read the 4K row again. It is 4K60 Ultra with an upscaler in Balanced, not native 4K. If a screenshot or an old tab still says RTX 5090, you are looking at the April native sheet.
Checklist: can this PC hold the valley?
- Windows 10 or later, DirectX 12
- 16 GB RAM (not 8, not “close enough”)
- SSD with 60 GB free — HDD is not on the sheet
- GPU meets the row you actually want, and you will turn on DLSS, FSR, or XeSS Balanced
- VRAM meets the floor: 6 GB (1080p30), 8 GB (1080p60 / 1440p60), 12 GB (4K60 Ultra)
- You are not quoting a 5090 as the 4K requirement to a friend
- Steam overlay will look for app 3751260
- You are not expecting Denuvo in the install
If you fail RAM or SSD, stop. Upscalers will not invent DIMMs. If you fail GPU by one generation, drop a row (4K → 1440, 1440 → 1080p60, 1080p60 → 1080p30) before you buy hardware for a single-player RPG.
What changed from April (do not use as current)
The April sheet was a native, no-upscaler lab list. It is useful only as history:
- Native 4K60 Ultra asked for an RTX 5090 and 16 GB VRAM.
- Native 1440p60 High sat on an RTX 4070 Ti class card.
- Native 1080p60 sat much higher than the August Medium row.
August kept the same 16 GB RAM and 60 GB SSD, added Intel SKUs (Arc A750 on Medium, Arc B580 on High), and moved every GPU target down because Balanced upscaling is now part of the advertised frame. If you insist on native 4K Ultra with no DLSS/FSR/XeSS, you are off this sheet. Budget like the old 5090 row and expect pain. That is a choice, not the official target.
Rebel Wolves confirmed the advertised upscaler quality is Balanced, not Performance. Do not set Quality and then blame the 4060 for missing 1440p60 High.
Consoles
| Platform | Note |
|---|---|
| PlayStation 5 | Day-one 60 FPS patch |
| Xbox Series X | Day-one 60 FPS patch |
| Xbox Series S | Excluded from that 60 FPS patch — do not promise a friend 60 on S |
Cloud and Play Anywhere messaging belongs on release and editions, not here. This sheet is frames and hardware.
Install and storefront notes
- Steam: app 3751260.
- Disk: 60 GB SSD required on every PC row.
- Anti-tamper: no Denuvo.
- Engine: Unreal Engine 5, which is why the upscaler row matters more than a 2018 “minimum GTX 1060” memory.
- Date: scheduled for 3 September 2026. This page does not claim the game is on shelves today.
If your laptop hits 1080p30 Low and sounds like a turbine, cap frame rate, drop to Low, keep Balanced, and play. The getting started guide and controls page still apply at 30 FPS. The combat loop does not get easier on a 7800X3D.
For editions, critic scores, and the calendar around that September date, use updates, review, and links. For the hourglass, go back to the Tools Hub and fill the time sheet instead of refreshing GPU prices.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Do I need an RTX 5090 for 4K60 Ultra?
Not on the current sheet. That number came from the April native-no-upscaler list and was revised. August 4K60 Ultra with Balanced upscaling lists an RTX 4070 Ti or RX 9070 and 12 GB VRAM.
Are the August specs native rendering?
No. Every advertised row assumes DLSS, FSR, or XeSS at Balanced. Native 4K Ultra is off the final sheet.
How much RAM and disk do I need?
16 GB RAM and a 60 GB SSD on every PC row. Windows 10 or later, DirectX 12. There is no Denuvo.
Will Xbox Series S get 60 FPS on day one?
The day-one 60 FPS patch is for PS5 and Series X. Series S is excluded. Do not buy S on a 60 FPS promise from this page.
What is the Steam app ID?
3751260. Use it to confirm you are looking at The Blood of Dawnwalker and not a similarly named page.
Can a GTX 1060 still play?
Yes, at the minimum row: 1080p30 Low with a Balanced upscaler, 6 GB VRAM, 16 GB RAM, SSD. That is the floor, not a pretty 1440p.
