Release Hub

The Blood of Dawnwalker is still heading toward its 3 September 2026 launch. Rebel Wolves in Warsaw hit gold in mid-July. Bandai Namco is publishing. The campaign is a single-player Unreal Engine 5 action RPG: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S (Play Anywhere and Cloud), and PC on Steam, GOG, and Xbox on PC. GeForce NOW streams it at launch. No Switch 2 SKU has been announced. This hub is the calendar, the box, and the critic file — not a patch-notes graveyard for a game that has not reached players yet.

Use the child pages for the questions storefronts do not answer in one screen. Steam may show 2 September because of time zones. That is not a second launch; it is midnight CEST written in another clock. Critic reviews dropped on 31 August 2026, days before players unlock the valley. Those scores are a pre-launch consensus, not a player-review average.

Pages in this hub

  • Release date and platforms — global PC unlock at midnight CEST on 3 September, console midnight-local rules (Americas on EDT), 48-hour preload, no early access, and the request not to stream before the PC unlock.
  • Editions and preorder — Standard at $69.99, Eclipse at $79.99, Day One physical, Collector around $200, Sangoran Wayfarer’s Armor, and what a complete disc actually means.
  • Critic reviews — Metacritic and OpenCritic snapshots from the 31 August embargo, praise for writing and the hourglass, and the caveats about repetition, combat fatigue, and missing DualSense features.

What is locked in before players start

The studio is about 160–170 people in Warsaw. Konrad Tomaszkiewicz directs. Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz is creative director. Daniel Sadowski leads design. Bartłomiej Gaweł leads art. Jakub Szamałek and Ariana Siarkiewicz write. Nikola Kołodziejczyk, Piotr Musiał, and Mikolai Stroinski compose. There is no Denuvo. Console discs are complete on the plastic; a day-one patch is still recommended, including the 60 FPS mode on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X (Series S stays on the lower target). PC ships two builds to satisfy regional age ratings.

Expect 50–70 hours, four difficulty levels, and 46 achievements with 21 of them hidden. Voice acting covers English, Polish, French, Italian, German, and Spanish. Text also covers Brazilian Portuguese, Latin American Spanish, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Turkish, Czech, and Hungarian. There is no Russian localization.

If you are buying a box, read editions before you assume the PC physical copy is a disc of the game — it is a Steam key in a box. If you are sizing a PC, read system requirements. If you want the first-hour plan after preload, keep getting started next to the release unlock table.

How to read this hub in the last days before unlock

Treat critic copy on the review page as embargo material from people who played review builds. It is not a substitute for your own thirty days. Treat storefront dates as clocks, not slogans. Treat edition extras as cosmetics and paper, not power. Nothing in this hub is a live-service roadmap. There is no battle pass hiding behind the coronation. When the servers (and the discs) actually hand players the valley, this hub is where we will attach patch notes. Until then it is the launch briefing.
