The Blood of Dawnwalker All Collectibles Location Guide
Manifests, scrolls, rune stones, moon seals, silver veins, and hidden items — organized by region.
Collectibles in The Blood of Dawnwalker fall into five categories: manifests, scrolls, rune stones, moon seals, and silver veins. Each category serves a distinct purpose in the game — from advancing the witchcraft skill line to unlocking lore entries in your journal. This page covers every collectible location as of the current version.
Manifests
Manifests are the rarest collectible type. Each one grants a permanent passive bonus and unlocks a lore entry. There are seven total in the game.
- Manifest of the First Frost — Found in the Svartrau cathedral basement, on a pedestal behind the locked gate accessible after defeating the Impaler. Dropped by the Impaler boss.
- Manifest of the Silver Vein — Reward for completing the Greifberg Castle side quest “The Missing Surveyors.” One of the surveyors is trapped; the other is dead. The manifest is on the dead surveyor’s body.
- Manifest of Unfinished Deeds — Obtained during the Brencis coronation preparation, given by Xanthe after the second visit to Greifberg.
- Manifest of the Hollow Moon — Found in the Howling Keep in the Tantari Woods. You must be accepted by the Lady in Black to enter. She asks a riddle; answering correctly grants access.
- Manifest of the Eastern Gate — Reward for clearing the Eastern Road checkpoint of all three vampire sentries without alerting the camp. Requires stealth or combat approach.
- Manifest of the Ninth Circle — Rewarded by Marat after the Tantari Woods resistance camp is fully established and you complete three supply runs for him.
- Manifest of the Last Dawn — Obtained automatically at the end of the Brencis confrontation in the final act, regardless of ending.
Scrolls
Scrolls unlock witchcraft abilities. Each scroll corresponds to a specific hex in the witchcraft skill tree. Collecting a scroll auto-teaches the ability; you still need to spend shrine segments to unlock it in your skill bar.
Laslea area:
- Scroll of Pain Transfer — Laslea church altar, accessible after the village plague purges end. Speak to the surviving priest.
- Scroll of Bone Whistle — Dropped by the Plague Revenant that spawns near the Laslea well at night.
Svartrau:
- Scroll of Night Hunger — Sold by the inkeeper at The Broken Antler tavern. Costs 120 silver.
- Scroll of Bind Tongue — Svartrau library, second floor, inside a locked display case. The key is on the librarian’s corpse in the same room.
- Scroll of Blood Tracking — Reward for the Svartrau side quest “The Murdered Merchant.”
Greifberg Castle:
- Scroll of Beast Summoning — Granted by Ambrus after the castle’s first blood ceremony event.
- Scroll of Shadow Step — Found in the castle’s east tower, on a corpse hanging from the ceiling. Requires the east tower rope puzzle to be solved.
Tantari Woods:
- Scroll of Ancestral Cry — Dropped by the Forest Witch in the deep Tantari region. She appears only after you complete the moon seal puzzle at the old shrine.
- Scroll of Rune Mastery — Rewarded by the Lady in Black at the Howling Keep after solving her second riddle.
Maragir Monastery:
- Scroll of Sanctuary Blessing — Given by the head monk after you bring him the relics stolen by Bakir’s raiders.
- Scroll of Martyr’s Sacrifice — Found in the monastery’s sealed crypt, accessible only after you return the relics.
Rune Stones
Rune stones are used to upgrade the witchcraft skill line beyond the base unlock. Each rune stone lets you unlock a secondary modifier on an existing witchcraft ability.
There are twelve rune stones total, one per region checkpoint. The game does not track which ones you have in a visible counter — you must explore thoroughly or use a checklist.
- Rune Stone of Binding — Laslea village square, under a loose board in the well.
- Rune Stone of Flames — Near the Eastern Road campfire, partially buried.
- Rune Stone of Thorns — Svartrau market district, behind the fishmonger’s stall.
- Rune Stone of Mist — Cathedral crypt, on the third altar from the left.
- Rune Stone of Dawn — Greifberg Castle courtyard, inside the dry fountain.
- Rune Stone of Shadow — East tower of Greifberg Castle, after solving the rope puzzle.
- Rune Stone of Blood — Tantari Woods, at the crossroads shrine near the resistance camp.
- Rune Stone of Howling — Howling Keep entrance hall, mounted on the wall behind the first wolf statue.
- Rune Stone of Echoes — Deep Tantari, at the base of the ancient tree with the carved face.
- Rune Stone of the Gate — Eastern Road checkpoint, inside the guard tower on the second floor.
- Rune Stone of the Martyr — Maragir monastery, in the relic room after returning the stolen items.
- Rune Stone of the Last Rite — Final area, on the altar in the Brencis throne room before the final confrontation.
Moon Seals
Moon seals unlock the lunar abilities in the witchcraft tree. There are six moon seals, one for each phase of the in-game moon cycle. Each seal must be collected during its corresponding moon phase to activate.
- New Moon Seal — Laslea village roof at night during the new moon phase. Climb the ladder behind the church.
- Waxing Crescent Seal — Tantari Woods shrine, accessible when the moon is waxing crescent. Rotate the shrine stones to match the constellation pattern.
- First Quarter Seal — Greifberg Castle west balcony, during first quarter moon.
- Full Moon Seal — Howling Keep ritual chamber, during full moon only. The Lady in Black opens the chamber for you.
- Last Quarter Seal — Eastern Road hidden cave, during last quarter moon. Enter through the cliff face crack.
- Waning Crescent Seal — Maragir monastery bell tower, during waning crescent moon.
The moon phase calendar is shown in the upper right of the HUD when the hourglass is open. Plan your collectible runs around it.
Silver Veins
Silver veins are mineral deposits that refill your healing consumables and provide a small silver ore bonus. They respawn every three in-game days.
Major silver vein locations:
- Laslea mine entrance
- Svartrau cathedral basement left passage
- Greifberg Castle courtyard east wall
- Eastern Road checkpoint supply room
- Tantari Woods resistance camp supply cache
- Maragir monastery east garden
- Howling Keep lower hall
- Deep Tantari ancient tree clearing
Each region has a respawn timer independent of the others. Mining a vein in Laslea does not affect the Svartrau vein’s respawn schedule.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
How many total collectibles are there?
There are 45 collectibles across all five categories: 7 manifests, 12 scrolls, 12 rune stones, 6 moon seals, and 8 silver veins.
Do moon seals expire if I collect them in the wrong phase?
No. Moon seals stay in the world until you collect them. However, they can only be activated during their corresponding moon phase. If you collect a Full Moon Seal during a new moon, it remains in your inventory but cannot be activated until the next full moon.
Can I get all manifests in one playthrough?
Yes. All seven manifests are obtainable in a single playthrough. The Manifest of Unfinished Deeds is the only one that requires a specific conversation path with Xanthe — revisit Greifberg after the second castle event to trigger it.
Where is the Manifest of the Hollow Moon?
Inside the Howling Keep in the Tantari Woods. The Lady in Black admits you only if you answer her riddle correctly. If you fail the riddle, she denies entry but the keep remains accessible for retry after a short wait.
What happens if I miss a rune stone?
Rune stones do not respawn or regenerate. If you miss one, you cannot max out the witchcraft tree in that playthrough. Check the rune stone count against the list above to identify gaps before finishing the main story.
Do silver veins affect anything other than healing items?
Mining a silver vein gives a small amount of silver ore used for crafting at the Svartrau blacksmith. The primary value is the healing consumable refill — use them before boss fights or long expeditions.
