Achievements and Trophies

The Blood of Dawnwalker ships with 47 achievements and trophies at launch. Of those, 25 are visible from the start and 21 are hidden until you unlock them. The platinum requires finishing the story, reaching level 50, grabbing every skill ultimate, and exploring every corner of Vale Sangora. This page lists every unlock with its type, how to get it, and whether the clock can lock it out of your save.

Bookmark this page. Some trophies are missable — particularly the ones that require specific companions at specific boss fights. Others are so easy to accidentally skip (selling fish to a fishmonger, for example) that you will wish you had a checklist before your second week.

Platinum roadmap

The platinum is not a speedrun. It asks you to finish the story, max a character level, unlock every ultimate in all three trees, and explore the valley thoroughly enough to find every flag, tower, and hidden cache. The order is flexible, but the guided path looks like this:

  1. Finish the main story. Most story trophies unlock naturally as you push toward the coronation.
  2. Explore thoroughly on the way. Flags, towers, villages, and ruins are easier to find before the map fills with coronation pressure.
  3. Lock in your build. Ultimate perks in Witchcraft, Swordmastery, and Vampirism each require focused node spending — plan that on the build planner before you scatter segments across the calendar.
  4. Complete companion-specific quests. Several trophies require Lacra, Crake, or specific allies present at key moments. These are the most missable trophies in the set.
  5. Clean up. Reload a save or use a NG+ if you missed something before the final act.

Trophy types at a glance

TypeCountNotes
Platinum1Story completion + full exploration
Gold3Major story milestones
Silver5Significant effort or difficulty
Bronze38Story, combat, exploration, and collection

Gold trophies

In the Nick of Time (Gold) — Rescue your family before the 30-day clock runs out. This is the good ending condition, not a separate trophy. If you finish the calendar and the family is free, you have this.

The Blood of Dawnwalker (Gold) — Finish the main story. The credits-run trophy. Multiple endings exist; any ending counts.

Uphill Battle (Gold) — Complete the entire game on Duelist difficulty while saving the people of Laslea. This is the hardest trophy in the set. Requires a high-level build, full skill trees, and significant combat practice. Do not attempt until you have finished Fair or Challenging at least once.

Silver trophies

The Turncoat (Silver) — Betray your allies to strike a deal with a certain vampire and get your family back. A dark ending branch. This choice appears late in the calendar and has consequences for the final confrontation.

The Patricide (Silver) — Defeat a named antagonist together with Lacra. Requires completing Lacra’s companion quest before the relevant boss fight. Missable if you proceed alone or lose her during the valley events.

The Knyazmaker (Silver) — Defeat a named antagonist together with Crake. Crake is a later ally; his questline must be completed before the same fight. Also missable if you arrive without him.

The Folk Hero (Silver) — Defeat a named antagonist alone, without any companion. This is the opposite branch of The Patricide and The Knyazmaker. If you bring allies to that fight, you cannot get this in that save.

Glass Ceiling (Silver) — Reach Level 50. The level cap. XP comes from quests, exploration events, and combat. Time spent on side content directly funds this.

Notable bronze trophies

A Dawnwalker is Born — Complete the prologue and step into the open world. You cannot miss this.

A Hero They Deserve — Escape Vale Sangora and leave your responsibilities behind. One of the ending trophies.

Every Last Drop — Collect all other trophies. Platinum gate.

Throne of Thorns — Reach maximum Infamy in Vale Sangora. Aggression against the Vrहींaki and their territories raises this meter. High infamy changes NPC dialogue and some quest outcomes.

Capture the Flag — Tear down all of Brencis’s flags across the valley. Exploration trophy; marks on the map appear as you explore. Do not skip scout towers.

Bird’s-Eye View — Climb every scout tower in Vale Sangora. The map marks these explicitly. Pair with Capture the Flag.

Big-City Living — Visit Svartrau for the first time. Story-gated; you cannot reach the capital before day three at the earliest.

Tour Guide Training — Visit every village in the valley. Includes Laslea, Svartrau, and smaller settlements marked on the map.

Smuggler — Earn 1,000 denarii by selling silver. The silver trade is a major economic loop in the early game.

Miser — Accumulate 5,000 denarii. A later-game economy trophy. Requires consistent silver selling or high-value loot management.

Balanced Diet — Drink from 10 animals, humans, or monsters. Feeding tracker; not all sources count the same way.

Dead Man Talkin’ — Use the Compel Soul witchcraft hex to speak with a corpse. Day-only ability; requires a manual and an active slot.

Shadow Roamer — Travel 1,000 metres using Vampiric abilities. Night traversal; Shadowstep and wall-walk count. Does not require combat use.

Feral Hunger — Lose control and drain someone outside of combat. Hunger accident; happens when Coen is starving and a civilian is nearby. Risky to farm intentionally.

Untouchable — Perform five perfect blocks in a row. Does not need to be in a single encounter; cumulative across a save.

Make It Rain — Cause an enemy to explode using an active ability. Bosses and elite enemies can explode; Blood Surge is the most reliable trigger.

Better Safe than Sorry — Behead an enemy with Artery Strike while they are hexed with Burning Blood. Requires a specific combo: mark with Burning Blood, fill gold charges, execute with Artery Strike.

Absolutely Insatiable — Have three passive abilities equipped simultaneously. Passive slots open as you level; all three must be filled.

Mastery — Level up one full tree (Witchcraft, Swordmastery, or Vampirism) to maximum. Long-term commitment; the build planner helps.

Master of Arms / Arch Warlock / Creature of the Night — Unlock an Ultimate Perk in each respective tree. Requires finishing the full node chain in that tree.

Save often and check this list before major story moments. A NG+ preserves achievements but not all trophies carry over — read the description carefully.

Hidden trophy count

21 trophies are hidden. Their names and conditions are not visible in the trophy list until you unlock them. The table above includes them with placeholder names where official descriptions were incomplete at press time.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

How many trophies are in The Blood of Dawnwalker?

47 total: 1 Platinum, 3 Gold, 5 Silver, and 38 Bronze. 25 are visible from the start; 21 are hidden until earned.

Is the platinum hard?

Moderate. The hardest requirement is Uphill Battle (gold), which asks you to finish on Duelist difficulty. The rest is exploration, collection, and skill-tree patience.

Are any trophies missable?

Yes. Several companion-specific boss trophies (The Patricide, The Knyazmaker, The Folk Hero) require specific allies at specific fights. Others require full companion questlines. Check the missable table before major story moments.

Do trophies carry over to New Game Plus?

Most do, but not all. Story-gated trophies unlock on any run. Missable trophies you already earned should persist, but some collection trophies may not re-trigger in NG+.

What is the fastest way to level 50?

Side quests, exploration events, and combat all contribute. The silver trade (Smuggler trophy) is a reliable XP loop in the early-to-mid game. Plan your time budget before grinding.

Can I get Throne of Thorns accidentally?

Yes, if you aggression heavily against Vrहींaki territories and officers. High infamy changes NPC dialogue and some quest outcomes. It is not a game-over, but be aware if you want to stay low-profile.
